Frequently asked questions

• Is this a real tree-planting scheme?

  Yes. KadmilOS partners with a certified B Corp that plants trees in verified reforestation projects. Each tree has a certificate.

• Does this count toward CSRD?

  Offset certificates are not a substitute for Scope 3 reduction. They are supplementary offset documentation. KadmilOS Carbon API is the CSRD data-layer product — offsets are the brand action layer.

• Can I offset at batch level, not per-SKU?

  Yes. external_sku is a string — use a batch ID or season code to offset at any granularity you choose.

• What happens when I hit my monthly quota?

  API returns a 429 quota_exceeded error. Upgrade to the next tier for a higher monthly tree quota.

• Is Offsets included in the base bundle?

  No. Tree Offsets is an optional paid add-on. Not on free trial. Subscribe standalone from pricing, or stack it on any Starter, Growth, or Scale module plan.

• Can I self-serve checkout for Offsets only?

  Yes. Offsets-only checkout creates entitlement with the offsets module and monthly tree quota. Use Subscribe on /kadmilos/pricing#offsets — no sales gate.
